Would you believe I've actually never brought an Acai Bowl from a company that sales them?! I saw them on Pinterest and thought it would be a good idea to make one! They're just like ice cream except it's healthy.
My Acai Fruit Bowl, doesn't have any additional sugar or juices, it's made with pure fruit! See ingredients below.
Most Acai bowls are made with honey and juice but I tried my recipe without because fruit, in my opinion, has enough natural sugar in it already.
Acai Fruit Bowl, topped with blueberries
1 cup, blueberry (frozen)
1/2 cup, banana (frozen)
1/2 cup, strawberry (4-5 frozen)
1 cup, pineapple (frozen)
Prep Time: 8hr (overnight)
Cook Total: 10m
Total Time: 8hr 10m
Freeze fruit of choice overnight or up to 8 hours.
Once frozen place fruit in blender. Blend into the mixture has a thick consistency.
Pour mixture into small bowl. Put blueberries, flax seed, or substitute on top then enjoy!
