Salmon Croquettes

Updated: Oct 22, 2019

Try Salmon Croquettes with rice, potatoes or pasta! They can be made for any meal of the day: breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The first time I tried Salmon croquettes, I was in college and one of my roommates were making them, I asked her what are those and she said Salmon croquettes, then of course I asked if I could try one. They have been one of my favorite dishes ever since.

1/4 cup flour

1/2 green bell pepper, diced

½ white or red onion, diced

3.5-ounce canned salmon

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 large egg lightly beaten

1 cup bread crumbs

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)

parsley to garnish

Prep Time: 30 mins

Cook Time: 15 mins

Total Time: 45 mins

Serves: 2-3

  1. Add flour to a bowl. Add bell peppers, onions, canned salmon, garlic, salt, pepper, egg, and (optional - cilantro). Mix until incorporated.

  2. Shape into 6-8 patties and heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat.

  3. Add patties to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Enjoy with rice, pasta, or potatoes.

Open canned salmon, pour liquid out, then put salmon is mixing bowl. Look for bones, remove bones then add seasoning.

As seen here, diced red onions, green bell peppers and place them in medium or large mixing bowl. After this, add egg, bread crumbs and four last to get the final texture.

Finishing Touches

Be sure to garnish with parsley or cilantro!
